On an earlier thread, I asked a question about Athearn caboose. I forgot to ask who makes a protypical caboose like those used by the C&O in 1957?

Thanks for your help...Ken

Ken--

Walthers recently made a C&O prototype wood caboose in 3 paint and lettering schemes: Walthers part #s 932-7521, 932-7522 and 932-7523. They seem to be sold out on all but the cars in the yellow paint scheme, but retailers should have them in the other schemes as well. You can see photos by searching the Walthers web site: http://www.walthers.com

Try going to the C&O Historical Soceity web site. The soceity has an on=line store and may have what you are looking for.

Ken,
If you can't find them elsewhere, I have the two-pack of these C&O yellow cabooses, unopened. I am trying to off load them now that Walthers has announced the B&O and Chessie C&O paint schemes for these.
I'm a Chessie System modeler and was going to repaint these two for B&O and Chessie C&O, but Walthers beat me to it. Unfortunately, Walthers didn't do the plywood sides for their new release, but that is another story.
Let me know if you are interested.

Tom & John: Thanks for the lead. That is what I'm looking for.

Jeff: I was looking for one red caboose. Thanks for your offer, though.
