Dan-- <br /> <br />The red-and-scarlet "bloody nose" scheme was first applied in 1958, and it became the system standard for all diesels. <br /> <br />The only RS3s on the system were assigned to SSW. In the 1965 system renumbering they became SSW 2800-2816. Before that time they were numbered in the SSW 300-series. <br /> <br />--John
