IIRC these units are now scrapped, but what im trying to find out is if ditch lights were fitted when they were scrapped and any other redeeming features like ploughs both ends or one end etc.
Also, when were ditch lights introduced?
Im in the middle of detailing the P2K pair.
Thankyou
Gary.

Try the web page below for the 5029. I don't think they were scrapped unless they were in a bad wreck. The Union Pacific just turned them back after the 20 year lease was up. I see them from time to time as lease engines. The UP turned them in about three years ago, but they showed up on the BNSF for some time as lease units. They still have the same paint and numbers with the UP lined out.
I am not sure of their status today, but they might still be on lease to other railroads. They had plows and ditch lights just like the rest of the UP diesels.

According to the website below - 5029 is now running on the Reading and Northern in Pennsylvania.
