C&O caboose
Posted by CP5170 on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 3:48 PM
I have a C&O interchange with my road. I purchased an Athearn C&O caboose to run behind a pair of F3s. Its colour is red. Is that the right colour for 1957?

Thanks for the help...Ken

Yes to right color is red.
The athearn caboose is not.
Sugest you go to STEEL CABOOSES OF THE C&O
By Dwight Jones.
C&O Crummys were center coupola.(close but no cigar)

Addenational post on the other, C&O cabooses
were red, with white lettering. Yellow safety appliances,
Grabs, ladders, step tread. If you go a later, they might have
been Yellow with Blue lettering. Your time span supports
The Red, but a couple of years later there was the yellow.
Floquil D&H red is cool, or Floquil Signal Red.
Good luck![?]
