NYC Style Signal Bridges and Mini-Targets?
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, March 5, 2007 4:36 PM

Does anyone know if a manufacturer produces HO Scale Signal Bridges like those found on the old New York Central (CONRAIL) lines?  I've so far only found them in Brass by Overland Models, and I find it difficult to believe that they haven't been produced in plastic.

I'm also looking for the "Mini-searchlight" signals presently found on the CSX Chicago Line through New York State.

For clarification, I'm not talking about the tri-headed signals, these look quite similar to the everyday average searchlights, just a much smaller target.

Any info would be hugely appreciated.

Sean

I know the type of signal head you are talking about, used mostly on the Lines East of Buffalo.

If you make your own I'm sure you could turn down the target, even in a drill press using the single searchlight target from Oregon Railway Supply.

I have a "Lines East" cantilevered signal bridge from Model Memories but it has the larger target. It is a little pricey but is a beautiful model!

Hope this helps,
