On the Union Pacific the first order of GP-7s were equiped to run long hood forward, subsequent orders of GP-7s and GP-9s were set up for short hood forward. We're going back to the early 50s here LONG before GP-18s. It very much depends on the railroad. As has been said above it's your railroad. Do what looks good to you. <br /> <br />Ed
