This link is a good reference for tractor paints. Caterpillar yellow ("cat yellow") is a standard paint pigment (color chip) that has been replaced by highway yellow, also called "hi-way yellow".

http://www.gasenginemagazine.com/complete-archive/2427/

Cat yellow is produced by virtually every paint manufacturer, so you should have absolutely no problem getting it. Krylon makes it in a spray, but I would recommend that you NOT use it on plastic withoiut testing it first. Rustoleum also makes it, type H-4. I suspect a one pint sample of oil base cat yellow from someone like Sherwin Williams, etc., sprayed through an airbrush with paint thinner as a medium, will last nearly forever and will work just fine as long as the paint is mixed well first. I did this with some real Russian Iron a number of years ago, and it came out great.

Hope this is useful.
