Heavy Pacific Pilot Assembly

Hi,

I have a Mantua 4-6-2 Heavy Pacific steam locomotive in HO scale. The original owner had broken the pilot off the assembly (it's plastic) and had glued it back on, using an inordinate amount of glue.

When I took the time to carefully remove all of the glue, I found that 3 of the four brackets were cut off, so that I could not replace it. I'm trying to find a suitable replacement pilot assembly, preferably in something the B & O would have used on their P-class locomotives. I would like to try and use a brass or white metal casting instead of plastic.

I've looked in the Walthers on-line catalog, but can't find anyone who makes such a pilot assembly. I referred back to my 1990 Walthers HO catalog, but none of the choice seem to be quite what I'm looking for. I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Joe
