I happened to spot this wire train pasing thru the Jenkintown train station today. However when it comes to locos I have to plead ignorance.



I hope it's not too far away.

Hard to tell for sure but it looks like one of the CF rebuilds Santa Fe made from F units w/ GP body components

That's a SEPTA wiretrain with a CF-7.

I'm pretty sure that's a Caterpillar-engined 1000 hp locomotive built a number of years ago by Republic Locomotive for SEPTA.
