In the mid fifties was there anywhere that the Gt Nothern and Southern Pacfic met or had interchange facilities? Would it have been possible to have Southern Pacific on Gt Nothern tracks or vice versa?
Regards
Alex

Rats, he beat me to it.
I was stationed in K-Falls 1966-1968.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Great Northern had trackage rights over the Espee from Chemult, OR to Klamath Falls, OR, a distance of 75.27 miles. Source of data Moody's Steam Railroads 1948. This was the part of the Great Northern that went down to meet the Western Pacific at Bieber, CA to form the Inside Gateway. The Southern Pacific line was on the route from California to Portland, OR used by the Cascade.
