In railroad parlance, it's "gantlet," no matter what Webster says. <br /> <br />Say "gauntlet," and railroaders will (a) look puzzled, (b) laugh at you, and/or (c) hand you a glove. <br /> <br />And, yes, there have been several examples on layouts featured in MR over the years. See the Model Train Magazine Index for specifics.
