CNW SD45 and Union Pacific West Line

I'm looking for detail parts to build a CNW SD45, more specifically, the nose bell cut out and rear brake wheel on the long hood. Also, I'm looking for information, pictures, maps, and books on the old Chicago & Northwestern route during the 1980's along the now Union Pacific West Line.

Either Details West or Detail Associates can help you with the detail parts.

The August 2004 issue of Railroad Model Craftsman has an excellent article devoted to modelling of CNW SD45s.
You might try the C&NW Historical Society for the photos, etc. They have an outstanding website.

I appreciate your inputs, I've been to the Chicago & Northwestern Historical Society website and all the SD45s listed have the rear brake wheel, however, no close-up photos of the rear of the units. I looked through Details West and Detail Associates and they offer the wheel but not the housing which is recessed below the surface. Also, Details West offers the nose bell but not the recess. I may have to fabricate these. I did find a website in which the modeler fabricated all the pieces, other than the wheel, for the rear brake and another where the modeler is designing a brass insert for the bell, he might offer it if there are takers.
Here are the links:

I'm still trying to find books on the UP West Line, former CNW, during the 80's. Any help would be much appreciated.

There have, as mentioned several articles on this. There are also articles in other CNW coversions out there. They cover the nose bell. The CNW Historical Society had an article on doing the nose bell cut out. There is no specific part that I'm aware of for this, just the bell. Also the CNW HS has publislied several articles on CNW western lines. Either copies of the magazines or copies of them can be purchased. Check their web site
