I have a slide taken of F40C 41 "City of Elgin" at Franklin Park, Illinois on 9 August 1978, front and rear. Being a slide, I can't scan it, but here's a description of the rear end paint configuration: It's basically bands of blue, silver/grey, and white that match the blue roof, the stainless steel panels and the white banding on the sides. There is no built-out rear platform as found on other EMD cowl units, just a small platform with no handrails. Grab irons go up the rear to the left of the door. Hope this helps!

(If you'd like a duplicate or print of the slide, email me and we can make arrangements)
