I am modeling ILLINOIS CENTRAL in 1997-1998. I am looking for information on how the IC operated and where I can find IC timetables and other books that have information on the IC in 1997-1998.

I would doubt you will find many books at this point in time. It is just too recent. your best bet would be to join the historical society and communicate with the members there.
