Vanderbilt tenders

I am looking for some some ideas for bashing Bachmanns medium Vandi tender to use with my HO 2-8-0, as of now I think it need to be shortened somewhat, anyone have any suggestions, or pictures that might help

Why not just dig up a Rundhouse short Vanderbilt, and just transfer the Bachmann trucks, connectors, and PC board into it?
