Does anyone know what railroad owns the tracks through Clarks Summit, PA? I know they used to be DL&W. I have been working in this area, and I have seen everything CSX, NS, and CP!

Josh,

All I know is at the Lackawanna line used to run through there. (Oops! Sorry, I'm thinking of Scranton.) Anyhow, have you made it to Steamtown yet?

DL&W,EL,CONRAIL,then either the D&H leased them or aqquired them, now I think it's either NS or CP which aqquired the D&H.

The Canadian Pacific aquired the D&H at one point, so that means that those tracks are owed or operated by the CP. I have not heard or read of the CP getting rid of the D&H or its trackage

Yes I have been to steam town, I see a lot of SW's running through town. I have been in the WB / Scranton area for a couple of months now. Whoever owns the tracks in Clarks Summit, I know that it is some great railfanning you never know whos power will be comming through.

SPV's Railroad Atlas of the Northeast US lists the line at Clarks Summit as a former DLW (Delaware, Lackawanna & Western) now STLH (St Lawrence & Hudson Railway) which I beleive is CP and would explain their appearance.

I've been to Steamtown also and I have noticed CP trains coming by.

It is a CP line. The other day I seen this lash up STL&H SD40-2, CP SD ?, SOO SD 40-2
it was leading a bunch of CSX gons and covered hoppers!
