I am trying to get in contact anyone that might have the following books:
Passenger Train Equipment of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe
Volume 1, Head End Cars
Volume 2, Business and Special Purpose Cars.
I need some diagrams or pics of underframe equipment for a few cars and any info would be greatly appreciated.

Csmith9474,
Welcome to the MR Forums !
I don't have either of those books, but wanted to suggest that you might try to borrow them via Inter LIbrary Loan at your local public library. A fee might be involved, depending on the library's finances. If you can track down the author's name, publisher, copyright date and ISBN, that will help your library locate copies.

Hello "csmith,"
The Santa Fe Ry. Historical & Modeling Society published an updated version of "Head End Cars: Santa Fe Railway Passenger Car Reference Series, Volume One," by Frank M. Ellington & Joe W. Shine, in 1999. Unfortunately it's again out of print, but it might be easier to find a copy of this version than to find one of the originals, and the updated version has information that wasn't in the original book.
The Santa Fe society is planning to publish an updated version of the same authors' "Business and Special Purpose Cars" in 2006. You'll find some information about this on the society Web site at atsfrr.net. Look under "Company Store" and "Books."
Best wishes,
Andy
