Is there a picture of this locomotive after it was rebuilt with a gp35 cab? Gary
This one?
I recall one of the people at the Atlas Rescue Forum made some modifications to produce one of these. You might search there.
Good Luck, Ed
Check this out, it was the CRIP 1322.

If it has a round roof, it's the original cab. The GP/SD35 introduced the angular "export" roof. Presumably, joining flat sheets of metal was cheaper than bending a curved roof out of one sheet and still kept the rain and snow out. Here's a W&LE GP35 with Alco trucks from a trade in.
It just received a new nose, not the entire cab. It retained the GP35 nose after it went through the RI's Capital Rebuild Program in the later half of the 1970s. There's pictures of it in blue and white, but I forget it's new road number.
I believe RI's 1275 and 1321 both received new GP20 cabs and noses after being involved in wrecks. Those were the only low nose GP 7/9/18 engines on the RI.
