Only two wheel drive, I'm not so sure about that one Brent. May need a sister as a pusher.
Maybe this little guy, 4-wheel drive might make it.

So is this a road locomotive or a lake locomotive.

I liked all the pics posted by everyone but I need to pick one in particular before I hit the rack here.
Ed, it's not often when a model is mistaken for the real thing. This prototype picture I almost mistaken for a model. When I zoomed in on the rail joiners and the tree tops I realized that it was not.
Beautiful picture, the first words that came to my mind was "Midnight Rider"

Thank you, TF!
Treetops?
OK, this view has treetops, and headlight beams in the steam.

The CP Rail locomotive definitely looks like it put in some time but it's the surrounding drop dead gorgeous scenery that gets me.
The whole reason I try to go up fishing in Canada as much as I can. My mother used to say the further north you go the more beautiful it gets. You're a lucky man Brent to live in such surroundings.
Saint Paul, last August.
Very nice pictures, everyone.
I just want to take a moment to remind participants to be sure that they only post their own pictures. Nothing from outside sources like rrpictures.net. It seems like everyone here is good so far, but I have to give everyone the standard disclaimer. It's a copyright thing.
Carry on, as you were!

While on vacation last Christmas, drove up to Nederland and found these units idling on the old Rio Grande.

Oops, there is my truck getting its butt in the way again.
It's funny, I sent some of my photos off to rail pictures and they wouldn't take any of them so I am going to make you guys look at them.
Brent the tan color of your truck already matches that locomotive beautifully. I think you should paint the bottom perforation of your truck and around the wheel wells the BNSF grey blue color with a red pin stripe. Also the topper and the hood. Then put the BNSF Insignia under your cab window.
After that resubmit your picture to rail pictures
Branson Missouri, Christmas Eve 2018
Forgive me for double posting but was there ever a better built piece of Railroad art than this?
I didn't think so either. The Old West... yeah!

Ya, that would go over really well with the wife when she loads up and goes to a dog show.
The rings in the pit are for steam to melt the snow.

OK you got me there. It was just something I saw funny as I'm sure you did too

I like it, I have one of those.
Dakota Missouri Valley & Western RR. Mandan, North Dakota 2017
And another.
They seem to have some long locomotives over there in North Dakota.
It appears to me a Canadian National locomotive was bought and renamed.

Well, I actually caught that one moving! While driving around Missoula I heard a locomotive horn and turned around to see that geep poke it’s nose out from behind that building. So it wasn’t quite parked!

Some nice old parts...... Parts is parts.
I searched my logs up and down and this is all I could find for old parts
I was thinking it might be acceptable
This part might work with one of your parts
corsiar Here are a few pictures I found. Where I work is right next to the BNSF 2 main line track running through the Kent valley in Washington. Everything comes through, BNSF, UP if their track is getting worked on, Amtrak, Northwest Cascade, and the Sounder. Everytime something unique comes pass by I dont have the cell phone. A Ferromex came through last week. Month ago there was a CSX.

I just gots to say's
I'm was glad BNSF chose the old colors of Great Northern to bring them back to the modern day when they made that decision.
Same colors different day! But do you see the better green hue in the black?
The upgrading of the super dark green to Black (Pullman Green)....Oh Well? I'm glad the Omaha orange stayed and yellow leaf is yellow.
I liked how the old colors transferred to our modern day.
I do have to say I liked the pullman green better than the black.

Thanks Batman! I'm just replying now, I couldn't remember the thread that I asked this question on. I'd never been to Banff (and Jasper) before. In addition to the trains, the scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Northern Idaho is nice, but the scenery up in that area of Alberta and British Columbia is just spectacular.

Bandana Square, Saint Paul Minnesota.
I saw this dilapidated old GP when I was in Michigan:
A classic Kevin, Just like old muscle machines it would be fun to see her restored.
I love old weathered locomotives and rolling stock. I bet that old GP has some stories to tell if she could only talk.
I must say I don't think I could ever get myself to weather my N scale locomotives. I would have to brush up my skills and get really good at it before I would ever consider it. They just cost too darn much.
