Katy had EMD rebuild AS16 locomotives with EMD long hoods and engines. Later C&NW got these engines. Is there any drawings of these locomotives. I would love to model these locomotives. Gary
I found this through a quick search for "AS16 locomotives C&NW" and found some pictures, along with this:

That's a pretty crude shell. My plan is to do it like EMD did, by getting a Baldwin and splicing a Proto long hood onto it.And to the OP, here is a good starting point for photos:https://donsdepot.donrossgroup.net/dr875.htm

I agree, as after I found that one, I looked at other Puttman stuff, and I think the old LifeLike and Tyco looked better
There is drawing in Model Railroader April 1982 of the C&NW repowered Baldwin road switcher. Gary
Guess this is what happens when you cast off an original shell instead of making your own masters - Puttman is Big Dog. I must remember to talk with Bob's sons about why they got involved with this guy - there are always two sides to every story of course. But Rapido has pretty good evidence showing he just copied a Rapido shell (certain casting marks that are not details showing up in the Big Dog 'original').
