I am working on setting up a spreadsheet of industries. I am using the OpSig Industries spreadsheets plus a number od additional industries that I have found. I am cleaning up the spreadsheets and comgining them into a usefull file. These are the colums that I think I need. Any additions or corrections would be appreciated.
Industry number (One for each location, e.g. One for each ADM location)
Name
City
State
Country
Serving railroad
Commodity Id
Received commodity
Shipped commodity
I dunno maybe mile post and siding (track) number and footage or customer identification number?

I'm not knockin any of this, and I know those of you that do switchlist, car cards, etc.,etc., are really in to all of this, but, it just seems like a lot of extra, non-railroad related time consuming stuff to me.
I know those of you that have bigger layouts, and have regular operating sessions couldn't run with out all of that stuff, as it's gotta have some organization to it.
Of course, I'm the sole operator of my little railroad, and when the local drops off two hoppers, and a reefer car, I know exactly where they are going, no piles of paperwork to deal with.
