Ordinarily, an easy question to answer, but the website here is having issues for me right now. Here's how it should work.

See upper right corner where Resources is one choice? Click it and you should get a drop down menu that includes the choice of Magazine Index.

That takes you to the index, where you could put in "crossing gate drawing" and find your article pretty quick.

Right now, it seems to be as Susbcriber Only thing, which is strange because it's never been. Even when I sign in, it doesn't work, so I suspect it's broke.

Maybe Steve Otte or someone can look into this although it may just be my old XP box, so give it a try.

I'm a subscriber signed into the MRR system at the moment, but that Index function doesn't seem to know that. It is definitely broken.

Just tried it and it doesn't appear to be broke.

Hi, Peter Welcome

I don't recall which MR may have had crossing gate drawings but here is two examples of PRR gates and signs. Maybe the information you need is here.

http://prr.railfan.net/standards/standards.cgi?plan=78301-A

http://prr.railfan.net/signalstandards/standards.cgi?plan=S-462-A&frame=YES&sortdir=up&sortby=1&rr=all

And a more modern application:

What era (timeframe) are you looking for? Crossing gates have evolved from heavy, wood hand or air cranked affairs to modern, tubular aluminum. The flashing lights are larger today as well.

If you need more information let us know.

[edit] My index search seems to be working fine. I entered crossing gate and came up with 51 results. Blind luck? Using Chrome,

V 53.0.2785.

It's still broken for me. Must be a browser or OS specific error. I believe MRR has a lot of this stuff outsourced.  Sigh

Yeah, just rechecked and FAIL again. I'm running the lastest Firefox on XP.

Also, images for MR and CTT are both out for me, the rest are OK, if they're checking bulbs back thereWink
