Hi.
The MTH GP38-2 in the LIRR blue wave colors have been recently introduced and I noticed in the pictures that the MTA "M" is missing behind the unit number. I can not recall, nor, can I find any pictures of the actual GP38-2's in blue wave without the "M". Is this an oversight on the part of MTH, are these pre-production photo's, or did some of the LIRR GP38's not have the MTA logo with the blue wave colors and what year would that have been?
All the best.

Hi,
About the only question I can help you with is a lot of the photos I have seen such as the MTH website and the MTS website have been pre-production. Most of the photos show the fogged cab windows. The CSX unit I looked at was showing a large fuel tank and snowplow but when I saw a photo of the actual production model it had clear windows with crew, small fuel tank and no plow. Maybe changes to the paint were made also. A call to one of the larger online hobby shops or MTH might get you the best answer. Sorry I could not be more help.

Hi Ralph.
Thanks for the info. Will give Trainland or MTH a call.
