A number of years ago I purchased a AAR control stand from P I Engineering. It is a full size control stand that utilizes two USB connection to a computer so it can become a DCC handset and operate a train. It is now time to build the cab that the control stand will go in. My choices are measure a real one which is a possibility. Make real size measurements from a Cannon cab or find a set of drawings showing the dimensions of the cab and interior layout. All I need is the two side walls , front windshield area and locations for the control stand and seat. The windshield area will be occupied by a flat screen on which my existing railroad will be viewed by remote camera. Anyone know of any drawings ? The EMD style I am looking for is the standard cab which started with the GP-35 series and existed for many years on the SD?GP -38/40/45/50 and early 60 series. Thanks for any help ---- Ken
Hey, that sounds like fun. I can't help with plans but it would be great to see photos when you have it done.
You mentioned a remote camera on the layout. is it, or have you considered, a camera in the locomotive so you can get a view down the track?
If you want to replicate but can't find a real one to measure / photograph one could approxinate things from images found with a search. The following is for "emd gp-35 cab interior image" but did not do bettter by adding "drawing".

Maybe this will help?

It is an "Admiral" cab but some of the basic dimensions may be the same.

Good Luck, Ed
Here's a side view of a GP35:
It came from the manuals that are available for viewing at Fallen Flags.
I think you could do quite well from interior photos in these manuals (plus the many other photos online) combined with cab exterior dimensions. And the above plan.
But it would be far more rewarding (and fun) to go see a real cab. For the amount of work you're likely to encounter in your project, I'd call it imperative.

Hopefully this could be of help. Conrail SD60.
