I just purchased an FP45 unpainted brass engine of Ebay. I was wondering who all owned these BESIDES ATSF? Railpics.net had all ATSF and a Wisconsin Central, I kind of like the WC!

A total of 14 FP45s were built. The first nine went to Santa Fe as their #100-108 in December 1967. The other five were built for The Milwaukee Road as their #1-5 in December 1968.
Dispositions: All the Milwaukee units are scrapped. Two of the Santa Fe units were wrecked and scrapped. Six of the Santa Fe units are preserved in museums. One Santa Fe unit was sold to the Wisconsin Central as their #6652. The WC unit has since been sold to Larry's Truck and Equipment in Ohio.

One final note. There was an order by Illinois Central for FP45s, but it was cancelled. How is that for a what if?
