Wisconsin & Southern Engine Modelling
Posted by brad3900 on Saturday, January 17, 2015 11:44 AM

Hello,

I am new to model railroading and am interested in the Wisconsin & Southern railroad. I'd like to paint some engines and am looking for tips and help with getting started. I have a few questions I hope I can get help with:

What color/brand of paint do most use for their engines? (Red & Gray)

Advice on masking and tape recoommendations.

How to get a GP7U without spending $300.

I've got some Decals and am ready to get started, I am looking for some tips. I've watched some videos on youtube but have seen some excellent work by people in these fourms. Any help, thoughts, and comments are apprecaited! I'm excited to be getting into this new hobby.

Thanks,

Brad

Can't help you on the paint but are you aware of the many HO diesels that are, or have been in the past, commercially available painted WSOR?

What scale are you going to model?  There have been many locomotives and rolling stock items decorated for the Wisconsin & Southern in HO scale by different manufacturers.

If you search the eBay HO scale trains area several locomotives, boxcars, covered hoppers, and even a caboose are appearing almost daily.
