Info on the Minnesota Commercial wanted
Posted by emdmike on Saturday, June 7, 2014 11:42 PM

Since its a bit unpractical for me to railfan the MNNR, I have a few questions relating to the Hennepin switch job.  I am planning a shelf switching layout loosely based on this operation since this is the domain of the RS27's. I need info on what industries this job switches, types of cars ect.  Thanks in advance.  Mike

Gidday Mike, this is basically just to let you know you haven't beem totally ignored.

Looking at these videos gives you some ideas on what the MNNR switches.......

this first video has the Hennepin Job at 5.05

Railfannining from afar can be a right pain, and while it can be frustrating and time consuming, I do use the Google Maps Street Vew from time to time.

Hopefully someone will come up with a far more definitive answer.

BTW what smoke unit have you fitted to your RS27? Whistling

Cheers, the Bear.
