Nickel Plate 765 in neat Coke ad...
Posted by gmpullman on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 3:26 PM

Pretty nice video featuring the 765 and Lionel trains! Nice job... filmed on the Cuyahoga Valley Line in Cleveland.

Note the modern generator at 2:08!

For some reason I'm thirsty right about now...

Enjoy! Ed

Great vid, but what cracks me up is in order to have a real Coke here in the good ol' US of A, you have to get a "Mexican Coke". Love 'em though, they remind me of bein' a kid. That and the smell of two stroke motorcycles and steam engines. My Pop took me on a fan trip behind steam when I was a lad and you know we had a couple of Cokes from the concession car. Nice job to Coca-Cola for making the vid, and thanks for the heads up Ed.

It's not a real Coca-Cola ad; it's a "prospectus piece", common in the film industry.

And it wasn't filmed on the Cuyahoga Valley, but on the North Judson.

And not just modern generator, but modern Coke bottles! (which was done deliberately; modern branding, etc).

I can not edit the above post and I hit Submit prematurely. I DO not have an edit button available if I post a pic!

The text that should have superceded the photo should have read: "My mistake! I was going by misinformation by another contributor and the presence of the CTVX62 a Nickel Plate coach from the Cuyahoga Valley.

Did they ship the car to North Judson?

Thanks, Ed
