Green Mountain Flyer passenger cars
Posted by Leen on Thursday, December 27, 2012 10:04 AM

Hi,

I am looking for information about the passenger cars used on the Green Mountain Flyer (GMF) in Vermont.

I live in the Netherlands and it is hard for me to find the right information. Locomotives and freight cars are reasonably easy to find, but not the passengercar info.

And then, are there, of have there been models of the GMF available? If not, which passenger cars could best be used to remodel? Mind you, I am not an scratchbuilder :-)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

A quick check shows that Bethlehem Car Works  may be your best bet to find what you're seeking, and you can find their passenger cars HERE.  It looks to me that kit #211  will cover the coaches, while #221 seems to be a good representation of the combine.

Atlas has/had a nice RS-1, and older ones can still be found.  As for appropriate lettering Highball Graphics has decals which may be appropriate HERE.  Set #120 seems suitable for the combine and coaches, And Microscale may have something suitable for the locomotive.

There's a three part video of a trip starting HERE.

Thanks Wayne,

I think I can get on my way with this information.
