Union Pacific Excursion Box Car UPP 9336 Question???
Posted by macmack on Saturday, July 11, 2009 8:41 PM

Does anybody know the length of UP's excursion box car UPP 9336?  Is it 50' or 60' long?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Edit: There are several nice shots of it here:  http://www.trainweb.org/passengercars/Indices/U2.htm

I don't have the drawing right here but the car is nominally a 60-footer.  Class BE-70-1's were built to handle storage mail in passenger trains and were fitted with steam and signal lines and high-speed trucks.  For a model, note that thesecars are lower than most equivalent freight cars.
