Removing dynamic brakes
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, December 17, 2007 9:13 AM

Does anyone recall the month/year of the article on removing dynamic brakes from a GP 38/40 or have any articles on doing this?

Welcome to the forum!

Sorry, I don't have the answer to your question, but you'll likely get a much better response in the general discussion forum.  This area is geared more for prototype info.  Here's a link! http://www.trains.com/trccs/forums/88/ShowForum.aspx

On an Athearn engine its a matter of swapping out the hood section with the dynamic brakes on it.

The answer depends on which model and what the hood construction was, they have changed over the years.
