I am beginning with HO and am in the process of determining what components I what in my layout. I have considered DCC and, at this point, think I would prefer DC power. I have looked at the train controls from MRC. What other manufacturers would you suggest for DC power units?? Thanks.

MRC is "THE" standard. But if money is an issue, get a used one, these suckers also last a long time. I'm dcc now, but before that I owned 3 MRC power packs; one was bought new and the other two used.
