All right, I have read the articles, the forum posts and even bought the Selby book on basic wiring and a DCC book. Everyone describes the two types of turnouts the same but with different names.

I chose the standard(Selby)/insulated(Strang) Peco Insulfrogs. They are described as all rails are powered regardless of which way the points are set. But it isn't working that way for me. On my Peco insulfrogs the rails coming out of the frog are not powered unless the points are set to that direction. They are not both powered all the time.

I have been disappointed with the explanations that I have found on wiring. Most of it has been pretty basic and now, in my experience, confusing. Can anyone point me to a wiring explanation for insulated turnouts that covers things like double crossovers?
