I have scanned a trackplan from an old number of Model Railroader. I want to show that trackplan here, is that OK from a legal point of view?

Typically small copyrighted materials can be used as reference if the original text is cited and you are not using it for commercial gain or if the use of the material costs the copyright holder a sale.

That said, MR owns this site and makes the rules.
