Thabks for the advice. I like Ho scale the most. I tried N and just not working with my hands. hehehe. I normally go with my mind on when I am doing layout. Mostly mountains and logging layouts and small towns.

...and most important, what guage are you planning to use?

You've come to the right place, by the way. I think this is one of the best forums on the whole Web, for any topic.

www.atlasrr.com has layout plans on-line, I think many of the same ones they have in their books. If you are new, they might help in showing what track is needed and what will fit.

Do you suppose the best layout you can do is one that YOU dream up?
What kind of railroading do you like? What era, what part of country, what railroad?
