Howdy everyone!

Well, I'm finally over my MRC Prodigy Advance debacle... That thing is sold and being shipped away Monday morning... Good riddance. The whole situation was just really frustrating.

So, now that I can see straight again, I've decided to SLOWLY get ack into DCC... and would like to go with a Digitrax product. However, after my first DCC experience, I don't want to toss a bunch of money into it... Here's what I'm looking for:

1) Don't need to run more than 4 trains
2) Want to be able to run one loco that is still DC
3) Want to be able to put on a walk-around throttle eventually
4) Want to be able to hook to a PC
5) Want to use some sound decoders

I figure the Zephyr should do all of this... But what about sound decoders and their functions, and "boosting" the amperage of the track later on? For example, if I have a decoder that has a function #11, can I add one of the LocoNet throttles that can access function 11 to the Zephyr and be OK??? Or is this limited by the base unit (DCS50 vs DCS100 in the Super Chief)... Is it possible to add another power supply to the Zephyr to get 'er up to 5 amps or so later on???

My other choice would be the Super Chief, but like I said, I'm a little leary to spend alot of money at this point and just want to get my feet back into DCC slow and easy...
