As you can see I have been here for a couple of weeks and want to thank you for all the great info I have found here. I am just getting back to RRing, and also making a switch from HO to N so I can model a larger area. This will be my fifth layout so I do have some experience but this will be the first not in the minimum space possible. Previous included 4x10 HO that had to hinge up to the wall...LOL not much fun. So on to the Q's, if you have some time I would like some feedback on my layout plan. Here's a link to the pic. http://groups.msn.com/TheFordTorinoClub/torinogt390.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=2132

The area I am modeling is Oregons Willamette Valley with motive power being SP. Time is early 80's with logging and lumber as the main economy even though it wasn't, funny but the jan/feb issue of Nscale Railroading has an article on the Mud Bay & Southern Ry. that is very similar on the thought process. On the north end there will be a small yard, just above the yard is a lumber yard with a run around track, and north of that will be some passenger service (sightseeing excursion). There will also be a few industries etc..
On the south end will be the mountain terrain, the loop will run thru a tunnel and the yard will be up high getting the wood from the mill located there. This was done with RTS and I really haven't figured it all out yet, so there are no elevations and I will use flex so there are some adjustments I will be making on the table. (like the main yard)

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Chris

Long live the Espee even if it is in our memories.
