I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice on an easy way to slide ties under N scale C55 peco track where I have cut them out to attatch the flex track together. Any better alternative then filing for hours? The problem I run into is how the track is sunk into the ties. Its making it difficult. Any advice would help. Thanks!
I use Peco sleepers SL308F for all my gaps. I don't know why you are filing as I solder the joiners, lift and install the sleepers then lower the track back down and secure with Peco nails. After that I slide the sleepers exactly where I want them and a drop of glue to secure them. Ballasting comes later of course. I have done this to all of my new build. Doug
If they have clips or tabs for the rails that get in the way, you can probably do what I do for HO scale - clip off the nubs with a rail nipper. Still might have to file, but not nearly as much.

I didnt do a very good job of explaining myself. Sorry. I solder the joiners, and have been filing the sleepers but find they dont fit right. I think I managed to figure out where I was going wrong though. Thanks for the reply

It's more challenging than that with PECO Code 55, because it is actually Code 80 rail embedded down into the tie itself -- so just nipping off the "chairs" still leaves the tie much too high to slide under the taller rail.
Here's an image from the N Scale Supply website showng the C55 replacement ties ("sleepers") -- they are cut much deeper to allow for the taller rail.
And in use
Since I usually paint track, I have often just used stripwood cut to length to replace the ties. But it sounds like the Original Poster has solved his problem.
