They offer two options, looks like a starter set and a value pack with just tree material. Is the starter set nessary if you have scenic materials avail?
If you want more than a few trees, get the big box and have at it. If you just want a few, get the starter set. If you want really nice trees you will have to get some leaf material of the proper colors. It too is less expensive in larger containers. Super trees are the best, but also not the least expensive.
If you have other scenery supplies, the starter kit may be a waste of money. I looked at the ground foam provided with the kit and didn't like any of the colors in it (they all seemed too bright for my tastes), plus I had the glues and other stuff already on hand. I just went with the bulk pack as it had a lot more of the actual tree material and I could substitute my own leaf colors.

I began with the starter set but then my collection of ground foam was very limited and I was interested in trying it out.
The tweezers are handy, the glue I could have got anywhere. My biggest complaint is that the foams that I got are not labeled so not clear what to order to get more of the couple that I like.
I since have ordered supertree material in bulk. I also am using super-sage to make foreground trees. The super-sage kit also comes with a good bit of the super-tree material so I have tubs full of the stuff to sort through now.
One thing that I like is that you can make all sorts of bushes and undergrowth foliage using smaller pieces of the super-tree material. So whatever you buy you get more than just trees.
