I've looked everywhere, but have not been able to find the answer to this. What is the minimum radius that the Proto 1000 NYC Subways can operate on? I would love to have a few operating, but really am shy about shelling out the bucks before I can determine whether or not I have room for them. Also, I noticed that the spacing between cars seem to be quite large. Has anyone installed drawbars on them and if so how did that affect the minimum radius. Final question (I'm full of them - I only hope someday that I'll be able to provide some answers here that will help someone) - what kind of grade can the subway handle? In order to get around my down town area, the subway will have to do some verticle climbing. I'm thinking of running the powered unit pulling only two non-powered cars. Thanks! (It is amazing how much I can learn from just an hour of reading all these posts!)
