[:D]Hello to everyone!!!

I've come up to the infamous "fork" in the roadbed!!! [:D]I'm seeking some layout design ideas for a new layout that I would like to build. I have some ideas and I have built a few in the past and I've also helped others with design issues for their situations. Now it's my turn and I'm seeking some advice and some possible design options. The space I have available is currently 10 X 12 and I model in HO and I like a functional but believable layout, I like switching and large yards and I also like mainline running. I model the BN and it's predecessor roads from 3/70 'til 4/95. I also like the Milwaukee and the D&RGW of which I own some power from those roads, also I would like to model and or incorporate the UP as a run through. So as you can see I have a lot of aspirations but a very limited space. A multi level would be okay, in fact the upper level could be much longer, up to 18 ft for a good mainline run. I am building this into a spare garage, I've walled it all up and it's very comfortable in the winter as well. So now I'm ready to build a lyout. I've read and seen most of the video layout tours and books, of which none really do a whole lot for me as most of the layout desings are far greater in size than my space available!!There is no restrictions as far as the outside dimensions (No water heaters or obstructions i the way of the layout), it can go around the room or do a few nice graceful "S" curves. Double main throughout would be nice also with at least one large yard and a grain loading/unloading facility as I have a lot of grain cars eager to unload!!! I live in the Pacific Northwest so mountains are not a problem either. Thanks so much for any and and all suggestions. One more thing, I'm no open wallet either here, my budget is limited as well. So if you have some ideas or references I would be greatly appreciative of any and all suggestions or help. Thanks so much for your time and efforts!!![:)]
