<p>A lot of posts on this forum involve layout designs and requests for review. The responses often get bogged down with dialogs such as:</p><p><em>"Why not move the industry to the other track?"<br />"Which industry are you talking about?"</em></p><p>I might suggest that all layout drawings submitted for review include a grid legend to identify the locations on the layout. Such as:</p><p>[IMG]http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff209/jcampbell1615/GRID.jpg[/IMG]</p><p>Now the suggestion becomes:</p><p><em>"Why not move the industry <strong>at F-4</strong> to the other track?"</em></p><p>And a lot of confusion is eliminated.</p><p>Even if a person's drawing program cannot actually label the grid, the grid labeling shown above could be assumed. It is labeled just like a spreadsheet (rows are numerical and columns are alphabetical starting from the top left corner).</p><p>This would make layout reviews much more accurate and beneficial to all.</p><p>Thoughts?<br />-John</p><p> </p>
