I have a very large HO railroad. I have used 1/2" plywood with 1/2" Homasote on top and then roadbed on top of this. I had some sagging problems with the 1/2" plywood. I was spanning about two feet between supports. I am now using 3/4" plywood and have not had any problems. <br />
