Agree with the above posts. The book by Armstrong is excellent. He has another one out to go along with it "The Classic Layout Designs of John Armstrong". They go hand in hand. <br /> <br />If you are using diesels with 6 axels or steam engines, you may want to stay away from 18" radius tracks whever possible. 15" track is real tight, and should only be used in yards where you dont have those 80' cars parked and no locomotives will go.
