Programming setup for HO Digitrax
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 15, 2005 6:59 PM
I have an Empire Builder Digitrax DCC system with a DT300 handheld throttle. I am completely green with DCC, so please be patient w/ me. How in the world do I get this thing in a "Program Mode" to program a locomotive? I have the Digitrax Bible and it says to "put it into the program mode", but gives no hint on how to do it.
Can anyone help me, or am I missing something so simple that I can't see it!

Thanks!

Here is the procedure direct from the digtrax website

PROGRAM MODE

PLACE LOCOMOTIVE TO BE PROGRAMMED ON THE PROGRAM TRACK WITH THE SYSTEM TURNED ON.

Pu***he STOP key and hold it down while pushing the FN key. Release both keys and the display should read “Ad2 = ???”. Be sure you are in “PG” mode (seen at the bottom center of the display).

Turn the right knob to select the address you wi***o program into the locomotive. If you want a 4 digit address, pu***he right knob once and “Ad4” will replace “Ad2”.

When the number you want is in the display , i.e. “ Ad4 = 1993”, pu***he SEL key. If the decoder “took” the address you will see a momentary “Good” in the display. If you are programming a four digit address you will be asked a question to which you will pu***he Y key.

Hope this helps!

If you want to change other CVs you follow the same procedure as above, but use the left knob to display the CV you want and use the right knob to display the value you want.
