Newbie can't find diagrams in article?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 4:32 PM
Hi,

I was looking at the article below and it refers to figure1 - figure6 etc

http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/000/102fykla.asp

but no figures are displayed and I'd like to understand how the swtiching is done.

Can someone help please.

Thanks.

The article was obviously lifted directly from the text of some article printed in a past issue of Model Railroader magazine or possibly from a Kalmbach book, WITHOUT copying the illustrations (Figure 1, etc) and without EDITING the text references to the figures. Maybe they want you to buy the book...

Sorry, I guess that doesn't help.

Okay, all understood. Best I head off to the book store then.

Thanks.

Maynard, just a guess, but try finding Model Railroading Basic Wiring at your local hobby shop. It's a publication printed by Kalmbach, and although it's been around for years, I'm pretty sure they've updated it with modern electronics in mind.

What kind of control panel are you looking to build?

You will get better responses if you re-post this in a separate thread and include more information on what you want to do.
