AppleWood section begun
Posted by cwaldman on Sunday, November 6, 2005 1:53 PM
The newest section of my Dagus and Rockwood HO scale railroad is a two tier city area called Applewood. I though I would provde a link to my website with a photo album of pictures for anyone interested. Comments are welcome.

The link goes directly to the new page. Other pages and information can be found at the top of each page. Pretty much all scratch built and made with my molds. Some commercial elements.

Uh, wow. Simply overwhelming. I love the way all the people are used to bring life to the detailed structures. Very, very nice work. It gives us all inspiration. Thanks a lot for that link.

The figures are 90% Prieser that I bought unpainted. The rest are some of the cheaper painted Prieser (parts re-painted) and the regular painted preiser and WS.

I lost count, but roughly by the time I get all on the layout that I have it will be over 1000. But I will still need more to complete Applewood. I enjoy painting them.

No words can do this justice. The pictures speak for themselves. You have the patience of Jobe if you are at 1000 and still counting.

Really, really great work. [^]

Very nice. Looks like the city needs to increase the budget for road maintenance! :)

tsasala— yes the roads are worn down are they not? :D Maybe i over did that.

Tom Bryant_MR - I have a method to painting LP. I work on only about 10 figures at a time. I paint eh way a person gets dressed..inside to out so to speak. I use clamp tweezers to hold the feet until everything else is done, then when dry, paint the shoes. Then bru***hem with A/I stain.

Very Nice work. Love the details on the city. The people, the wall advertising...everything.

Only 1000 people and counting! Well, giddy up there.

In my former hobby (Warhammer - it's a table top fantasy war game combing aspects of chess and risk, but my wife used to just call it the "Little people") I painted over 5,000 figures for various armies. The scale is about 1:70. I little bigger than HO scale, and the detail required was much heavier than MRR figures require or should have, but enough about me...

Applewood looks amazing. Inspiring is a word that comes to mind. My compliments to the chef! Um, I mean modeller...hehe
