tdeater - <br /> <br />I know for a while that MRC was backlogged on production of their PA units - I wasn't aware that they actually took them off the market. <br /> <br />I owned one for a while, but got rid of it in favor of the Digitrax Zephyr. I really like the Z now, but it's just my preference. Many manufacturers make good DCC systems. <br /> <br />I have also been using Digitrax decoders, as they have many different types of decoders that are designed for specific types of locos. For example, they have a "no-solder" harness/decoder for the old Athearn blue box locos, plug in chips for LL P2K locos, and the like. LifeLike has several P2K models in CSX, and are "DCC Ready". Kato has CSX stuff, too... Probably most other manufacturers have CSX.
