Well finally got the kit in the mail in HO Came with excellent plans.

I like the color of the kit and thats what I will be aiming for. I already got an explanation for indian ink

quoted from a builder

Take a half bottle of rubbing alcohol and add ten or 20 drops of indian ink then spray it on. Let it drip and drain and puddle up or run off nayurally, with the model upright. It's the easiest weatherin' a feller can do. Commonly called a dark wash. Other variations are:

ink/water
ink/blue windshield washer fluid
black and/or brown latex paint/water (plus a little alcohol)
black and/or brown latex paint/blue windshield washer fluid

Different mixes work better on different surfaces. For me, with the paints I use, I get the best results using a water based solution on plastics, and an alcohol based solution on wood.

I'm wandering if that may be the way to go :)
pictures will follow. :D

I would like to make the mine look EXACTLEY like the mine photo same color from top to bottom. I think if i do the india ink on the entire structure I won't be able to go back and do the red color it'll probably be too dark . Any and all direction would be appreciated unfortuneatley I 've never done any kind of weathering to structures or cars before although I have done my fair share of staining of wood in the house . I just gotta know what to use for the different colors and how to apply so please be patient.

Once i get past the first step of getting the colors the same or pretty darn close I'll be flying
Thanks Lynn :D
