The only other alternative would be to go with a night vision camera, but those are usually only black & white. And I don't know if you can get a more light sensitive CCD camera that small? Sure would be a lot more expensive. I like the idea of adding lights to the camera car, but this will give you only a small illuminated area around the camera, right? What do you use, bright white LEDs?
